Scope: 24 pages (rriiii), height 13.2 cm x width 10.6 cm.
Michael Scot (1175-1234) the renowned philosopher, scholar, astrologer, alchemist, occultist and magician. Born in Scotland, he first studied at the Cathedral School in Durham, then at Oxford University and in Paris, where he studied at the Faculty of Arts. Student of the occult sciences. His most famous works are: 1) “Liber Physiognomiae“, first printed in 1477 2) “Astronomia“, this manuscript is in the Bodleian Library 3) Liber Introductorius 4) “Liber Luminis Luminum“ in the manuscript from the Riciardi Collection in Florence 5) “De Alchymia“ this manuscript is in the Corpus Christi College in Oxford.

Condition: The book is bound in vellum, held together with brass corners and with a central brass buckle. Complete print. The pages are slightly loose. Woodcarving figural frontispiece, full-page illustrations of individual described constellations on pages 14 to 23.
